Happy International Lefthanders Day!

Today is International Lefthanders Day and I’m a leftie, so I’ll be partying like it’s 1999!

First, a little history.

August 13 is designated International Lefthanders Day by Lefthanders International. It was first observed on the 13th of August, in the year 1976. As the name suggests, it is meant to promote awareness of the inconveniences faced by left-handers in a predominantly right-handed world. It celebrates their uniqueness and differences, who are from seven to ten percent of the world’s population.

Some things that made me smile today:

Apparently, left-handed people have more fun

And advantages of being left-handed (not that is something you choose…)

Want to gift me something? Here you go.

I like being left-handed. I think it makes me unique, and that I something that I want to be, no matter what.
